John is a highly experienced advocate, mediator and Harvard-trained negotiator. He is a registered adjudicator under the Construction Contracts Act (WA) and has acted as both counsel and arbitrator in arbitration.

With extensive practice in many areas of law, John specialises in resources law, corporate law and succession law. He regularly appears in leading succession law cases in Western Australia, as well as advising on and appearing in taxation and revenue cases in the Federal Court and the Australian Administrative Tribunal.

John's involvement in professional associations is comprehensive with several fellowships and elected positions. He has lectured in succession law at the University of Western Australia since 2006 and is well published.
